Everything you need to know about renting for Burning Man:

Our Burning Man rentals are structured to keep things simple and predictable. Each reservation includes convenient pick up in Reno, up to 14 days for a flat rental rate and free mileage to and from the event.
Your RV will be playa-ready at departure with:
Full fresh water tank
Empty holding tanks
Propane fill
Up to 4 hours of generator use per day (additional usage available for a fee)
We also provide standard kitchen and bath starter supplies to make prep easier, including:
Toilet paper
Paper towels
Trash bags
Paper plates and bowls
Plastic cups and utensils
Basic cleaning supplies
Before you head out, you’ll receive a comprehensive pre-rental orientation so you feel confident operating the generator (if applicable), water system, tanks, power, and all other key components specific to Burning Man use.

Delivery to Playa (Full-Service Option)
We handle the transport so you don’t have to.

Frequently Asked Questions
General Questions

Playa dust is fine, alkaline, and gets everywhere. Even with windows and doors closed, dust will find its was through vents and seals in the RV. While you can’t fully prevent dust from getting inside the RV you can help by:
Using a high quality, low tack, painters tape to seal as many windows and vents as possible.
Keep windows and doors closed whenever possible.
Consider a "no shoes" rule inside to protect your RV.
Cover furniture with sheets.

Cleaning is not included in the rental price. We do ask guests to return the RV in as clean condition as reasonably possible. That said, we understand playa cleanup can be difficult, so we give guests the option to handle the cleaning themselves or we’re happy to take care of the post-playa cleaning for an additional fee.

Due to the increased risk associated with RVs attending Burning Man, our rental insurance provider classifies the event as an unauthorized use under their terms of service. As a result, there is no coverage for the RV while it is on event grounds, and no coverage for event-related damage. This includes damage from playa dust (interior, exterior, mechanical, or electrical components) as well as vandalism.
If you take the RV to Burning Man, the insurance available through the rental platform provides liability-only coverage to and from the event so the vehicle remains road legal. In the event of a covered at-fault accident, only damage to other people’s property is covered. The RV itself is not covered, and liability coverage is limited to the state minimum requirements.
Because of these limitations, we strongly recommend purchasing coverage through a third-party provider to ensure full protection during your rental period. If you have a personal auto insurance policy, we suggest contacting your insurance agent to inquire about adding the RV to your policy. If you provide an insurance binder showing full coverage for the rental period, we are happy to remove the rental insurance and its associated charges.
If a full-coverage insurance binder is not provided, the security deposit will be increased to help protect against potential damage to the vehicle.

Burning Man Rentals
BURNING MAN RESERVATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO A STRICT NON-NEGOTIABLE CANCELLATION POLICY DUE TO THE LIMITED AVAILABILITY OF VEHICLES DURING THIS PERIOD AND THE SIGNIFICANT LOGISTICAL COSTS INVOLVED.
Rental Amount Refund Schedule:
Cancel within 48 hours of booking AND at least 30 days before departure: Full refund of rental amount
Cancel 90 or more days before departure: 75% refund of rental amount (Renter pays 25%)
Cancel 90 to 60 days before departure: 50% refund of rental amount (Renter pays 50%)
Cancel 59 to 30 days before departure: 50% refund of rental amount only if the unit is re-rented at equal or greater value for the same dates. If re-rented at a lesser rate, Renter pays the difference plus 50% of the original rental amount.
Cancel less than 30 days before departure: No refund of rental amount (Renter pays 100%)
No-show on day of departure: No refund (Renter pays 100%)
Company strongly recommends purchasing independent trip cancellation and interruption insurance for all Burning Man reservations. Event cancellations by the organizer or a government authority do not automatically entitle Renter to a refund beyond this policy
Water & Sewage

It depends on tank size and consumption rate. Standard RV faucets and showers typically use 1.5–2.5 gallons per minute. Many renters use "military showers" and body wipes to conserve water. Bring drinking water in separate food grade containers.

There are no hookups or dump stations on the playa and dumping gray or black water onto the is harmful and violates the event’s "Leave No Trace" policy. You must either use professional RV pumping services on-site or pack all sewage out with you.
On-Site Delivery Services: You can hire vendors to empty your holding tanks, but you must coordinate this with "Outside Services".
Flagging Down Trucks: You can try to flag down trucks, but this is unreliable and requires waiting. Look for trucks marked with a special "RV" flag.

Power & Cooling

Power on playa is limited, so planning ahead is important. Your options may include:
Camp power grid: If your camp provides shared power, this is usually the easiest and most convenient option.
RV onboard generator: Great for running AC and recharging batteries. Use it only as needed and plan ahead with enough fuel for your trip.
External generator: Similar to the onboard generator, just not built into the RV.
Be sure to follow all Burning Man and BLM rules for fuel storage and placement, and please be considerate of your neighbors regarding noise and exhaust.
Remember, there are no standard hookups on playa, so all power must be self-supplied.

Technically yes, but we don’t recommend it. Running the AC all day uses a large amount of fuel and generator time, and extended continuous use can increase the risk of generator overheating or AC coils freezing up, especially in extreme playa conditions.
Most guests use the AC strategically during the hottest parts of the day and rely on shade structures, ventilation, and cool nights. Be sure to plan your fuel needs accordingly and be considerate of nearby campers when running generators for extended periods.
